HGV Technician
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our clients team in Oxfordshire. You’ll be responsible for carrying out inspections, repairs, and MOTs across a varied fleet, making sure everything meets manufacturer standards and complies with legislation.
What you’ll be doing
- 
Conducting thorough HGV inspections, servicing, repairs and warranty work.
 - 
Diagnosing faults and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
 - 
Ensuring all service reports, paperwork, and electronic job sheets are completed accurately.
 - 
Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment.
 - 
Completing all necessary training to keep your skills up to date.
 - 
Mentoring and supporting apprentice technicians.
 - 
Providing roadside assistance for breakdowns.
 - 
Offering occasional cover at other depots when required.
 - 
Carrying out any additional duties within your skills, as requested by management.
 
What we’re looking for
- 
City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV maintenance or 10+ years of proven hands-on HGV experience.
 - 
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics and mechanical systems.
 - 
Good understanding of current health & safety regulations.
 - 
Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
